About the Author
Jan Buckner Walker is a prolific nationally syndicated crossword puzzle creator and author, best known for her innovative approach to collaborative family games. Her career as a creator includes:
- Kids Across Parents Down (KAPD): She is most famous for creating this family crossword series, which features “across” clues for children and “down” clues for adults. Distributed by Tribune Media Services, the series has appeared in major publications like The Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, and Chicago Tribune.
- Educational Outreach: In 2009, she launched Kids Across Teachers Down, a classroom-specific version of her collaborative formula designed to encourage literacy and competition in schools.
